Dear Myammee,

I am a 24 year old male who needs some advice. I am currently engaged and the wedding is in September of this year. Planning a wedding is fun but stressful. My problem is I feel that the wedding is just for her. Everybody is coming to her asking her questions about the wedding and barely acknowledges me. There telling her that the wedding is for her and she is the only person that has to be happy. She already has a place for her bridal party and have picked out her dress. I don't really have any guy friends so I know I wont be having a bachelor party. I know most guys don't really care about a wedding but I do a little. I am not saying I want a big party and everything I just want to feel a part of it. She is far from a bridezilla and she really wants my input on the wedding. I was just wondering do I have a right to feel like this or what. Thanks in advance.

You really have to understand us women. We dream of our wedding at the age of 6 while you little boys are out back playing in mud. We are just crazy-nutty over weddings and when they come we kinda can’t help ourselves. We go for the gold and get everything out the way. Its like a kid in a candy store or toy store. However, that doesn’t mean leave you out of the beautiful master plan. I say speak up and let her know how you feel. You are about to be married, which means communication is a MUST. Normally, guys just lay back and let the female do all the work its kinda the tradition. I truly understand all guys aren’t alike, which this means YOU!!. She should totally understand how you feel. You MUST tell her ASAP, before all details are finalized. You can’t go in and expect to have an opinion after she has her mind made up. If there is something that you really wanna change just let her know, because you never know she might go along with you and your new idea. As for the bachelor party, you have to have one. Either it be guy friends or family. Just do something guys would do. It doesn’t have to be a strip party, it can be a guy gathering or go to your fav nightclub, get the VIP section and pop bottles all night and have a BLAST!!! So don’t be afraid to speak up in that huge crowded room of yours. Remember: you are still the MAN.
